Alumna 2022
Corina Vasile is an experienced executive focusing on Sustainability, Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.
Formerly an Economic Journalist for various printed publications for the first decade of her career, Corina joined Raiffeisen Bank in 2002, right after the Austrian banking group has acquired the state-owned troubled bank Banca Agricola, with a mission to integrate and turn it around thus making a privatization success story on the local market.
At the time, Corina had been the editor-in-chief of the leading business daily newspaper, Ziarul Financiar, since the year 2000 and had just completed the German Marshall Fund of US Fellowship (February – March 2002). She believed that turning around a brand with high negative awareness into a well reputed and successful bank was the right business and communication challenge to tackle. She built from scratch the Corporate Communications function and team, over the last decade adding Public Affairs and Sustainability to her expertise. Under her management, Raiffeisen Bank brand reached and maintained over more than 15 years a top 3 positive share of voice compared with peers across all relevant media. Corina leads a top-rated local team of communication and sustainability experts which designed and implemented multi-awarded programs and projects in financial education, start-up financing and NGO grants. She is a certified GRI standard expert and has been pioneering the non-financial reporting on the local market as Raiffeisen Bank has recently published the 13th annual sustainability report.
Corina Vasile is a jury member of various local professional competitions such as Romanian PR Award, Gala Oameni pentru Oameni, PR Arena etc, a speaker on Communications and Sustainability topics and author of specialized articles.
Corina is a founding member of the Romanian chapter of the international association Global Women in Public Relations; she is also a member of the Board of the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce.
