Cosmin is a Romanian startup founder and researcher, currently serving as the CEO and Co-founder of DATA SWEEP. Since its launch in September 2024, DATA SWEEP has raised €99,000 in funding in under a year. The startup has earned notable recognition, including winning the Bright Labs Incubator, being named Best Startup of the Month in August 2024, and taking first place at the Bear Arena competition.

Beyond his entrepreneurial path, Cosmin has also distinguished himself in academic competitions. He secured second place at the 2021 CFA Research Challenge – Romanian National Competition and first place at the 2022 CFA Research Challenge held at BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo campus.

He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and contributes actively to academic governance as a member of both the Council for Doctoral University Studies and the Council of the Doctoral School for Economics and International Affairs at ASE.

Cosmin is deeply committed to advancing Romanian society. He actively contributes to the development of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem through NGO and tech startup initiatives. His academic excellence has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Grand Prize at the National Olympiad of Young Economists in 2021 and 2022.

His international education spans four countries, having studied at ASE (Romania), Yildiz University (Turkey), BI Norwegian Business School (Norway), and Coventry University London Campus (UK), where he graduated with distinction from the MSc program in Global Financial Trading.
