Cosmin Dobran is a manager at the European Commission with a solid experience in European affairs, both at national and European level. A former Romanian diplomat, he has an established track record in CFSP/CSDP issues and have represented Romania and the European Commission in the Political and Security Committee. He has worked on a variety of external action areas, including development, trade and economic governance but also European internal policies such as employment, education and youth.

Cosmin is an experienced manager and a team player having led units up to 30-50 professional staff, promoting participative leadership and having provided integrated analysis and strategic advice and communication. He is a heartfelt European with high ethics and a strong motivation to contribute to a European Union that provides prosperity, stability and security for its own citizens and that is a strong partner in international relations.

Cosmin is married, with two children, and has lived for a long time in multicultural environments, establishing and maintaining personal relations across different cultures.
