Cristian is a seasoned public affairs professional with experience in both the public and private sectors as well as with NGOs. He currently serves as the Executive Director of ARMO – the Romanian Association of Online Stores, which represents the Romanian e-commerce sector. Previously, he worked as a Senior Public Policy Officer at eMAG, the largest online retailer in Romania, where he was responsible for developing and executing public affairs strategies, providing briefings to executive management on relevant policy discussions and stakeholder meetings, and organizing events to enhance the company’s visibility and relationship with stakeholders.
Before starting a career in public affairs, Cristian worked at the Romanian Ministry of Culture and National Identity, where he was in charge of managing media and public relations, acting as a spokesperson, coordinating crisis communication with cultural institutions, and organizing press conferences and public debates as the Head of Communication and Social Dialogue Office. From this position he also managed the Ministry’s relationship with different stakeholders, like unions and cultural associations.
Cristian is an avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for hiking, snowboarding, and climbing. He is also an amateur filmmaker who enjoys flying his drone in the mountains.
