Daniela Popescu is a Historian and the Founder of the Cultural Association “Istoria din Casă în Casă” (History within Our Homes). Pioneering as the creator of the Romania’s first digital archive focused on the private and daily life of the past two centuries, Daniela’s NGO aims to improve and support education and culture. Based on her teaching experience, her dedication extends to facilitating the exchange of information, ideas, and the preservation of history, stories, and experiences within homes and families, particularly among the younger generation.
Leading a dynamic team, Daniela has spearheaded innovative national projects catering to educators and students, providing essential support for the exploration of new teaching, and learning methodologies. Her impactful contributions extend to organizing educational conferences and workshops, with a primary focus on contemporary history and international relations. Daniela is also the author of several books and studies delving into the intricacies of Romanian 20th-century history.
Daniela holds a PhD (2020) in History, and she is currently an Assistant Professor at University of Bucharest. Her academic pursuits revolve around social history, contemporary history, and foreign policy, reflecting her enduring commitment to advancing knowledge and understanding in these domains.
