
Dănuț-Ioan Bugnariu

Dănuț-Ioan Bugnariu is a criminal defense lawyer and has been a member of the Bucharest Bar, part of the Romanian Bar Association, for more than 25 years. He holds degrees in both Law and Mathematics from the University of Bucharest.
He has completed various national and European training programs, including those organized by Fair Trials, the University of Cambridge, and the Hertie School Berlin.
For many years, he has been actively involved in the activities of various national and European professional associations and NGOs, including Fair Trials, the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers (EFCL), the Romanian White Collar Crime Association (ARDPA), the Romanian Criminal Law Association (ARSP), and the Association for the Defence of Human Rights in Romania – the Helsinki Committee (APADOR-CH).
He has been accepted as an expert in Romanian criminal law and prison matters in various cases before Westminster Magistrates’ Court (UK) and the High Court of Ireland.
His professional and public-interest activities focus on white-collar crime, the rights of minors and criminal responsibility, combating violence against women, and the protection of human rights in general.
