Dimitrie Siriopol is a Nephrology primary physician. He received his PhD in 2014 with the thesis: “The evaluation of hydration status by bioimpedance and lung ultrasonography in hemodialysis patients”. He is now an Internal Medicine/Nephrology Associate Professor at the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava. 

He is a member of the Romanian Society of Nephrology, European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplantation Association and International Society of Nephrology. He has more than 90 publications in ISI indexed journals, with a Hirsch Index of 22. He is the (co)author of  17 chapters in 8 books (1 in an international publishing house). 

He was involved in several national (Project Manager of a Grant of Ministry of Research and Innovation, CNCS-UEFISCDI, project number PN-III-P1-1.1-PD-2016-0287, within PNCDI III, Member in 2 Grants of Ministry of Research and Innovation, CNCS – UEFISCDI, project number PN-III-P4-ID-PCE-2016-0908, contract number 167/2017, within PNCDI III and project number PN-II-ID-PCE-2011-3-0637) and international (Winner of the ERA-EDTA 2017 Ultra Short Registry Fellowship and Member of the Lung Water by Ultrasound Guided Treatment in Hemodialysis Patients – The Lust Study) research grants.

In 2021 he was the Medical Director of the ”Sfântul Ioan cel Nou” Emergency Clinical Hospital Suceava.
