Dora Ioniță is currently working at the County Council Ilfov as a personal adviser to the President of County Council Ilfov. Her vision and that of the team, for the next 4 years, includes eight points in important areas of community development. More time for family and loved ones, no traffic, no pollution, no worries – with integrated transport, infrastructure that connects Ilfov to Bucharest, high education for children, integrated communities, well-paid jobs with development opportunities, healthy living, with quality care for people, investment and economic development, safety and care for the elderly, an administration without bureaucracy, in a vision of integrated development – Metropolitan area.

She graduated from University of Movie Directing, cinematography being her great passion, but quite quickly she learned that in life, pragmatism is necessary. So, through a happy conjuncture, she received a job offer that seemed temporary and as a compromise solution for the summer after graduation. Being extremely concerned about what is happening around her, politics caught her attention from day one, when she attended a meeting of a local organization and that job became her number one priority. Since 2005, she has focused her career path on learning and developing the skills requested for coordinating intersectorial teams.

For the last ten years Dora have coordinated the technical teams responsible for the activities development within the Political Local Organizations. Working with people with different backgrounds and various competences in several electoral campaigns and also in the Ministry of Interior and Public Administration and Romanian Parliament, helped her to improve her communications skills and proficiency in organization.

She is genuine and nurturing, professional and ambitious, essential qualities in this area of activity. Additionally, her abilities extend to being meticulous, hardworking and punctual.

Dora is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Spring Cohort 2021.
