After 15 years as a professional flutist, Elida Tîrțopan became interested in music communication while doing volunteer work in retirement homes and orphanages. Before moving to Switzerland in 2016, Elida taught music, did community work in Bucharest and Ramnicu Valcea and explored different ways to bring classical music closer to the public.

Studying for the Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Bern University of the Arts offered her the best opportunity of playing music and using it as a tool in educational projects, as pedagogue and music mediator.

Currently, Elida is teaching at the Fribourg Conservatory and Seeland Music School in Switzerland and is working on cultural community projects in Romania and Switzerland.
