Gemma Webb is a visionary business leader who, in November 2022, became the CEO and Chairman of the Board at RetuRO SGR and took on the mission of leading the transformation of packaging waste into valuable resources for a cleaner, greener Romania. With a profound commitment to sustainable development and circular economy practices, she has been instrumental in steering RetuRO towards becoming one of Europe’s largest circular economy companies.

This role complements her distinguished career, which spans over three decades across various industries. For example, her notable journey in the tobacco industry includes over 18 years with British American Tobacco, where she held several key positions including CEO & Managing Director British American Tobacco Romania, West Europe Area Head of Next Generation Products and Managing Director BAT UK & Ireland.

Throughout her career, Gemma has developed a strategic mindset and multidisciplinary expertise. Her leadership is marked by her ability to rally organizations around a shared vision and foster high-performing, diverse teams. 

Academically, Gemma Webb holds an MBA from the University of Warwick – Warwick Business School, a BA in Mathematics and Economics from University College Cork, and a Diploma in Management Studies from Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She also holds a diploma and certification in Chartered Directorship from the Institute of Directors (IoD).
