George Piperea is the leader of the monitoring department at South Muntenia Regional Development  Agency. He has 18 years’ experience in regional development programs. He has excellent  communication skills, is easily adaptable and he proved to be a really good team player. 

In the present, he coordinates the monitoring activity for the projects financed within the Regional  Operational Program 2007-2013 and Regional Operational Program 2014-2020 in the South Muntenia  Region. 

In the first part of his career, he was designated with monitoring of the projects’ implementation  financed within the Sub-Program Investments in Social Services continuing with the monitoring of  following Programs: Phare 2004 Small-scale Waste Management Investment Scheme; Phare 2004  Project preparation grant scheme for private sector in the field of waste management; Phare 2005  Assistance provided to SMEs in order to purchase business consulting services; Phare 2005 Project  Preparation Grant Scheme for public sector in the field of environmental protection; Phare 2005  Investment scheme for supporting the public initiatives in the environment protection sectors; Phare  2006 Environmental Investment scheme for public sector.  

He has also been Member of the evaluation committee for the procurement of technical assistance  services within PHARE CBC 2003 Economic and sustainable development within the border area  between Romania and Bulgaria and member in the appraisal committees for part of the programs  financed within Phare 2004, Phare 2005, Phare 2005 CBC Program Romania – Bulgaria, Phare 2006.
