Tania Vasile is the Head of IT Cards & Lending Department in Banca Comercială Română (BCR), one of the most important financial groups in Romania. BCR provides universal banking operations being a leader of its industry by launching George – Romania’s most modern and innovative banking system.

Tania Vasile started her career in BCR in 2012, previously working as a consultant in a Big Four company from Romania. During her career in BCR, Tania coordinated the delivery of transformational large-scale business and technology projects which enabled BCR to establish itself as a trailblazer for innovation and digitalization. Tania led the IT digital transformation in the Retail area by being well-versed in bringing teams together and enabling talents to achieve the bank’s strategic goals.

Her professional career consists of developing complex, high value software development programs covering diverse areas such as retail & private banking, e-commerce services, corporate & investment banking and internet banking.

Tania is an active contributor to her industry co-authoring a series of studies on the topics of economic restructuring and market competition and collaboration. She is also a Certified Business Analyst Professional, offered by the International Institute of Business Analysis.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Economic Studies and holds a Master of Business Administration.
