Her career as a former researcher and lecturer in the Faculty of Chemistry of Bucharest helped with the technical abilities required to establish in 1995 Romcolor 2000 SA – now , one of the leading producers of colorants and additives for the plastic industry . Pogonaru is member of the boards of several professional and bussiness associations. In 2000 she was nominated as one of the „Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the world”. She is involved in many charitable activities, as well in supporting the Romanian patrimony. Since 2007 she is Honorary Consul of Iceland in Romania.
