Igor Rabii is Acting Head of the Political Dialogue Section with the European Union, Directorate for Cooperation with the EU, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova

He has been working within the division since 2008, progressing through all stages from Attaché to Acting Head. He spent 6 years at the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the EU. He was involved in the negotiation of the Moldova–EU Association Agreement in 2014, as well as the Moldova–EU Association Agendas for 2017–2019 and 2021–2027. He worked on the national mechanism for implementing the Moldova–EU Association Agreement.

He participated in the visa liberalization process during 2010–2014 and drafted Moldova’s contributions to the European Commission’s Annual Report on the Visa Suspension Mechanism starting in 2018. He took part in drafting Moldova’s application for EU membership in 2022. He coordinated the development and implementation of the Action Plan for carrying out the measures proposed by the European Commission in its Opinion on Moldova’s EU membership application in 2022. He also coordinated the development of the Coordination Mechanism for the European Integration Process in 2022.
