Igor Zgrabljic is an expert in public policy, economic diplomacy and investment promotion. He is a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, responsible for South East Europe. In his role he covers a broad range of regulatory and policy issues and leads Google’s work with policy makers, government officials, and key political stakeholders in the region.

Before joining Google Zgrabljic advised foreign governments from Asia, Middle East and Africa on foreign investments in South East Europe, and was leading the work of the Foreign Investors Council in Croatia advocating for the major foreign investors and multinational companies in CEE. He has gained extensive experience in government affairs and public policy working closely with the Croatian government in the country’s accession to the EU in 2013, and with Members of the European Parliament and European Commissioners on some key foreign policy issues facing the EU.

Zgrabljic was a speaker at various international conferences in Europe, Asia and Africa. He has also published the most relevant paper on leadership in Croatia which is part of the curriculum of the Croatian diplomatic academy.

Zgrabljic is Alumni ambassador of the Harvard Kennedy School for Central and Eastern Europe, alumni of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers and Junior Chamber International (JCI) and Fellow of the Fund for American Studies, Academy for Political Development and Rotary International. In Croatia, he co-founded and led some of the leading NGOs aimed at promoting youth engagement, entrepreneurship and investment promotion.

Zgrabljic holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and a masters degree in economics from the University of Zagreb. He and his wife Ivona have three children.
