Ilona Madalina Costea, Ph.D. in engineering sciences, transport engineering with the thesis “Technologies used in the security and safety of railway”. Postdoc diploma in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.  Associate Professor and researcher from 2006 at Department of Telematics and Electronics in Transport, University Politehnica of Bucharest, member of the research team in European Programs and National Research Programs. Research field: National Security, Road and Traffic monitoring, Traffic Management and Control, advanced monitoring and inspection based on elements of artificial intelligence for critical infrastructures. More than 90 scientific papers presented in international conferences and journals, more than 30 research projects. T.I.M.E. Association (Top International Managers in Engineering) Coordinator for University Politehnica and Dean at Faculty of Transport, University Politehnica of Bucharest.

She is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Autumn Cohort 2021-2022.
