Irina Florea-Saghin is a Teaching Assistant at Ovidius University of Constanța and a  researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research on Territorial Dynamics (CICADIT) in Bucharest. With a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and  a PhD in Regional Geography, she has worked in various national and international projects  involving territorial, maritime and environmental planning. 

For the past 10 years, she has been committed to finding a leadership path that would fit her  scientific and educational passions and acted as member in different research interdisciplinary  teams (participation in a Urban Planners Advisory Team, Perm (Russia) and three Young  Planning Professionals workshops Wuhan, (China),Perm (Russia) and Gdynia (Poland)). She  has gained considerable exposure to interdisciplinary research based on the interactions  regarding environment-spatial planning, coastal tourism development combined with close  collaboration in terms of administrative aspects with local and European authorities.

Irina is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Spring Cohort 2021.
