Iulian Coman holds a PhD in public order and national security and he is a graduate of the ‘Al. I. Cuza’ Police Academy in Bucharest for Bachelor’s degree in public order and safety and Master degree in law. He further holds a Bachelor in law and post-graduate in human rights and psycho-pedagogy. From 2018, Iulian is an alumnus of International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest.

Professionally is currently working as EU staff for EU-LISA EU Agency in Estonia, contributing to the freedom, security and justice of the European Union and Schengen Area, by coordinating training activities for the Member States in the use of the large-scale IT systems. Previously, Iulian was a seconded from Ministry of Home Affairs, as national expert for EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in Hungary and worked as a Romanian police officer for 9 years, starting as cross-border investigator, border guard, and continuing with international relations coordinator and spokesperson of the ‘Al. I. Cuza’ Police Academy.

Iulian is also involved in humanitarian activities, being a volunteer for Rotary International from 2017. In 2023 he co-founded and is the president of ‘Pot fi EROU’ NGO, where he coordinates educational programs for children in foster homes or disadvantaged areas, in order to guide them to a better future.
