
Laurentiu – Nicolae Georgescu

Laurențiu Georgescu has over 10 years of experience in higher education administration and has worked at one of Romania’s top universities, West University of Timișoara. In his role, he has managed and developed infrastructure for a community of over 15,000 students and more than 1,000 university staff members.
Through this experience, he has cultivated strong skills in project coordination and implementation, with a particular focus on university infrastructure development. As the Administrative General Manager of West University of Timișoara, he has played a key role in enhancing the academic and administrative quality of life.
Beyond his professional career, he has a deep passion for sports, particularly ultra-trail running and triathlon. His enthusiasm for running is reflected in the UVT Liberty Marathon, a project organized by West University of Timișoara, now in its sixth edition. He has collaborated with university colleagues to promote physical activity and community engagement through this initiative.
The combination of his administrative expertise and passion for sports defines him as an individual. He remains dedicated to contributing to projects and initiatives that foster positive change in both his community and the academic world. With his experience in administration and his commitment to health and physical activity, he is prepared to take on new challenges and provide valuable insights to any team or project he joins.
