
Lavinia Cristescu

Lavinia Cristescu is the Head of Financial stability and market analysis unit within Financial Supervisory Authority. She is an experienced professional, having worked more than 17 years in a variety of areas of financial markets. Her current activity refers to improving non-banking financial system framework through promoting financial stability, identifying vulnerabilities and systemic risks, conducting research, impact studies and developing quantitative and qualitative risks measurement instruments. Her contribution to sustainable markets growth is related to developing strategies, macroprudential policies and increasing supervisory convergence at European level regarding: capital markets, investment funds, insurance companies and private pension funds.
Before joining a public institution in 2012, Lavinia Cristescu has worked in the private sector, as a certified investment consultant, financial products developer and trainer in risk management and financial analysis. She is also a CFA Charterholder since 2011 and is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
