Leonid Boaghi is the Mayor of Sireți village, Strășeni district, serving since 2019 after previously holding the position of Deputy Mayor from 2015 to 2019. With extensive experience in local public administration, he actively contributes to regional and national governance structures. He is the President of the Platform of Young Mayors and Local Councilors, Vice President of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM), Vice President of the Association of Mayors in Strășeni district, and a member of the Regional Development Council – Center. He also serves as Chair of the Board of the Alliance of Hometown Associations of Moldova.

Leonid is a strong advocate for local development through investment attraction, public project management, strategic planning, and civic engagement. In parallel with his administrative duties, he has worked as a trainer and expert in numerous initiatives supporting local authorities and civil society, collaborating with national and international organizations such as ADEPT, AO CDEC, AO Nord Press Club, and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. His expertise includes public procurement, human resources, external cooperation, internal management control, and policy development.
