
Livia-Ioana Florea

Livia is the Founder and President of buchARTest Association, a pivotal organization in the field of street art and urban regeneration. With over 13 years in the NGO sector, Livia is revolutionizing cultural projects development, notably through Artown Festival in Ploiești, her hometown, the biggest urban art event in Romania and initiating Mural Art Awards Romania, offering lasting change in the cities and communities touched by her projects.
With degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Politehnica University of Bucharest, a Master in Management from Maastricht University & Bucharest International School of Management, and a Master in Media & Cultural Studies from the Centre of Excellence in the Study of Image, she studied in Bucharest, Prague, Stockholm and Maastricht. This unique blend fuels her approach to merging real-world applications with abstract concepts, evident in her diverse project portfolio spanning management, marketing and fundraising, with over €1 million raised for her initiatives.
Besides leading buchARTest since 2019, she has contributed to organizations like EFdeN, Leaders Foundation, Global Shapers Hub Bucharest and B.I.S.M, and since 2021 she is collaborating with MARe/Museum of Recent Art. She is one of the few street art and artivism researchers in Romania, and an emerging curator, creating exhibitions for museums and galleries, her presence both in urban and fine art, positioning her as a key figure in Romania’s cultural discourse and evolution.
