Mădălina Mocan is a long-standing member of the Aspen Institute Romania community, as a leadership seminars moderator and fellow. Also, as affiliate expert, she has contributed significantly to the development of the leadership programs of the Aspen Institute Romania, advising on the curriculum and design of various programs, which are in continuous diversification. 

In addition, Mădălina collaborates as a moderator with The Aspen Institute U.S. and has recently co-facilitated the first Aspen Institute U.S. workshop dedicated to the training of moderators of all the Aspen Institutes around the world.

Mădălina Mocan is a political scientist, member of ProTECT executive board of directors, a national platform bringing together anti-trafficking organisations in Romania. As a civil society professional, she is associated with the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD Cluj) and maintains a vivid interest in several local and national campaigns and initiatives in the fields of human rights and civil liberties. With a long experience in developing, coordinating, managing and advising civil society initiatives, she focuses  on human rights issues, particularly human trafficking, collaborating with national and international stakeholders  working in assistance, prevention and advocacy.

As a member of the Political Science Department of FSPAC, Babeș-Bolyai University, she has served as a teaching assistant in political theory and applied ethics and has developed international initiatives aimed at a better understanding of Central and South Eastern Europe

She serves as a vice president of the board for Techsoup Romania and a proud board member of ELiberare. In her spare time, she enjoys long trails on horseback and short stories on print.
