
Mihnea Stoica

Mihnea Stoica is lecturer at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences of the Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) in Cluj-Napoca, where he teaches political communication, political advertising and PR strategies. He studied Political Science and Law at BBU Cluj and continued his studies in Comparative European Politics with a Master’s at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. Subsequently, he obtained his PhD at BBU Cluj with a thesis on the development of far right populism in the European Union. During his first years of professional experience, he worked as an MEP Advisor at the European Parliament. Mihnea founded the Dutch Cultural and Academic Centre in Cluj, seeking to deepen the intercultural dialogue between Romania and The Netherlands on issues related to culture and research. Mihnea also collaborates with the regional station of the Romanian public television (TVR Cluj), where he hosts a weekly talk show on European politics. Mihnea’s most recent book is titled ”Smart Politics. Perspectives on Europeanisation”.
Mihnea is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
