Taking over the role of Public Programs Manager at the Aspen Institute Romania in 2018, Mirela coordinates the implementation of public projects and conferences of the Institute. The most important programs she supervises include the Bucharest Forum, the Atlantic – Black Sea Security Forum, as well as a wide range of roundtable formats and webinars, facilitating high-level exchanges of ideas and best practices in fields such as international cooperation, security and defence, innovation, energy, and economy.

Prior to joining the Aspen Institute Romania, Mirela acquired extensive experience in working with international and interdisciplinary teams while conducting big data collection and analysis projects at one of the major global companies in the field. As a project manager, Mirela oversaw diverse processes implied in the research mechanism, making use of innovative digital tools. Having been involved in complex, multi-stakeholder international projects since the start of her career, Mirela developed her expertise in management and communication, cultivating her mediation skills.

Mirela speaks fluently French and English and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Contemporary History from the Sorbonne University in Paris, as well as a Master of Arts in Intercultural Management from the University of Bucharest, UNESCO Chair.
