
Nadezhda Neynsky
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bulgaria
Nadezhda Neynsky is a seasoned diplomat and European political leader with extensive experience in foreign affairs and governance. She served as Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs (1997–2001) and as Ambassador to Turkey (2015–2021). She was a Member of the European Parliament (2009–2014), participating in the Budgets and Foreign Affairs Committees, and held multiple terms in the Bulgarian Parliament, including as Deputy Speaker.
Throughout her career, Nadezhda has held leadership roles in the European People’s Party, SME Europe, and various democracy-focused advisory boards. She is a graduate of Sofia University (Master’s in Linguistics) and has completed advanced programs at Harvard Kennedy School and the US Congress in negotiation, senior management, and foreign policy.
She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian, and has been recognized internationally for her contributions to diplomacy and public service, receiving honors such as the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (France) and the Order of the Dannebrog, First Class (Denmark).
