Oana Dumitru joined the Leadership Programs Department of the Aspen Institute Romania in the spring of 2022. In her role as Leadership Programs Coordinator, Oana contributes to the organization of the leadership programs, communicating with participants and partners, providing administrative support and coordinating logistical arrangements.

Between 2016 and 2019, Oana took an active role in EFdeN, a student-led NGO striving to make Romania more sustainable through better houses, products and education. She coordinated the Communication Department for the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 competition, being responsible of the Communication Contest and Sustainability Contest. During that time, she participated in the 2017 cohort of Aspen Junior Seminar, which triggered her increased interest in the values-based leadership and in the mission of the Aspen Institute Romania.

Before being part of the Aspen Institute Romania’s team, she worked in the private sector as a building services engineer, at VINCI Energies Romania, where she gained professional experience working closely with the innovation team and with the bidding department for industrial projects.

She holds a BA in Building Services Engineering, French Department, from the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest, Faculty of Building Services and she is currently studying for a MA in Applied Ethics in Society, Organizations and Business, at University of Bucharest.
