An expert in strategic communication for the political, diplomatic and high-level institutional environment, Oana Marinescu creates and implements communication, PR & public affairs strategies with vision and credibility. She opens up new perspectives for positioning, action and growth, both for people and companies, treating the process as a privilege and a calling.
Due to a heightened sense of situational and contextual awareness, Oana has been engaged all along her career in eliciting a long-awaited change of the Romanian landscape of public debate, policy making, public perception and cross-cultural understanding. For her the question is never who’s going to let me, but who’s going to stop me now.
As the founder and managing director of OMA Vision since 2010, a strategic communication and public affairs consulting company, Oana lives by the belief that good communication is based on values – on sharing and standing by your own values, while understanding and respecting those of the people with whom you are communicating. And that a little empathy can go a long way.
She has developed meaningful training concepts, based on her almost 22 years of experience in media and communication, focusing on issues such as: crisis management; emotional intelligence in communication; media skills; internal communication; public speaking; presentations; etc. Her approach is highly interactive, at the crossroads between training, consulting and coaching. Oana is a certified trainer and coach. She uses her coaching and training skills in both one-on-one and group sessions, for the later providing moderation as well.
Oana facilitates also strategic workshops and seminars, helping people and organizations to identify their relevant values, mission statements, and strategic directions.
Before founding OMA Vision, Oana served as Romania’s Secretary of State and Government’s Spokesperson and General Director for Public Diplomacy with Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Between 2012-2017 she was the Communication Director of George Enescu International Festival, while OMA Vision provided the concept and execution of the communication strategy for this outstanding event. OMA Vision’s campaigns for the Enescu Festival were recognized several times with Gold and Silver by Romanian PR Award.
Her experience in coordinating and presenting complex public events, in converting wide-scope projects into reality both at home and internationally, and in facilitating multifaceted debates, is rich and worthy.
