
Olivian Savin

Olivian is a versatile individual, energy professional, dedicated volunteer, traveling and sports lover. Known for his strong technical background, good communication skills and adaptability, Olivian approaches challenges with a flexible mindset, readily adjusting his strategies to meet the demands of the situation.
He holds a PhD in energy engineering, graduated as valedictorian of the hydropower engineering department of the Faculty of Power Engineering at University Politehnica of Bucharest. He did an international master’s degree in English at the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in France, then worked at the largest energy producer in Europe, Electricité de France (EDF), where he finished a 3-year industrial PhD thesis in French, creating a new method to estimate the costs and reliability of the power plants equipment, completing his education in 3 different languages.
Since high school, Olivian has volunteered in and led youth in NGO’s and now he is the Executive Director of Future Energy Leaders Romania, part of the World Energy Council, leading the young generation to excellence.
With a keen understanding of the evolving energy landscape and the intricate web of the industry, Olivian is working now as a technical manager in aggregation and ancillary services in the private sector. Prior to this, he was senior regulatory specialist, energy advisor and board member for energy startups.
In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, Olivian also excelled in sport, where he was runner-up champion in the U17 football championship.
