Radu-Florin Marinescu is a PhD student at the School of Electrical and Energy Engineering in Craiova. He graduated from the University of  Craiova, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, specialization in Electrical Engineering and Computers, obtaining a Master’s degree in the field Energy Quality and Electromagnetic Compatibility in Electrical Systems.  

He published scientific articles in national and international journals with applicability in the field of energy efficiency, green energy and the railway field. 

He has experience as an electrical network engineer in the research and development department of a large company with railroad locomotive manufacture, components, parts and repair, including diesel and electric railways.  

Regarding his research career,  he has been working for seven years at the University of Craiova in several research contracts funded by European Funds as part of both the research and management team. The completion of  these projects has resulted in several patents. 

Currently, he works in the position of counselor at the chancellery of the Governor of Dolj County.
