Raul Patrascu is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and of West University of Timisoara with a Master of Science degree in physics. During college, he developed expertise in medical research on cancer, working alongside world-renown specialists at hospital-research centers such as Johns Hopkins and Yale-New Haven Hospital, publishing alongside them in journals with high ISI impact factor. After graduation, he worked as a consultant for the investment fund of the McKinsey & Company consulting firm and his work has contributed to the consolidation of the risk rating system for over 10,000 financial institutions worldwide and was recognized by Moody’s rating agency. He also provided consulting services to NGOs and corporate entities such as Save the Children Association, Laboratorium or the CAESAR Foundation. Currently Raul is State Advisor on health policies at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and is part of the research team of the new Center for Genomic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes” Timisoara, contributing to its launch and research funds approvals.
