Razvan is currently working as Sustainable Finance Director at Emirates NBD Capital. Before that, he joined the EBRD via the flagship IPP programme and had the opportunity to work as part of various teams: Financial Strategy, LC2, Power & Energy (Istanbul) as well as the President’s Office.

In his previous LC2 Principal role, Razvan focused on promoting capital markets transactions and advisory projects across the Baltics, Central & South Eastern Europe, Greece and in Turkey. His key past contributions includes development of a wide range of conventional and Islamic compliant debt products, sustainable finance – including green bonds and ESG index – and corporate bond frameworks in Greece and Turkey.

He was also working on promoting a pan-Baltic capital market via Commercial Paper, a Capital Markets Development Accelerator Fund (CMDAF) and single regional index classification by MSCI, leads LC2’s strategic engagement with EU’s DG Reform and Bank’s support for the resolution of MPP accounts in CSEE as well as supporting capital markets access by commercially run SOEs.

Prior to joining the Bank, Razvan worked for Erste Group as part of the Project Finance team (CEE) and Deutsche Bank in Structured Asset Finance (Amsterdam). He holds an MSc degree in Finance & Investments from Rotterdam School of Management and is an alumnus of the Aspen Young Leaders Programme.
