Mr. Răzvan Munteanu has been working in District 1 Municipality of Bucharest as public policy advisor since 2004. As a civil servant, during the last 10 years his professional career has been dedicated to developing sustainable programs for the citizens from District 1 Bucharest, to create public value for the citizens. He was involved in different investment projects the most well-known is related to improving energy efficiency “The Thermal Rehabilitation Program of the multilevel dwellings-820 units”, 52000 apartments benefited by the program. 

Starting 11th this November he will face new responsibilities as a deputy director into a new department developed by District 1 Municipality of Bucharest, The Department of Public Utilities Sanitation and Environmental Protection. The general objective of this new organization is waste management. 

As research represents one of his fields of interest, starting this year he is PhD student within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Agro-Food and Environmental Economics. The results of the thesis will evaluate the impact of the environmental policies promoted in Bucharest in order to promote change and improvement in the public sector.

As well, improvement of the quality of life, the citizen’s welfare and promoting good governance represent main objectives of his entire activity of administration and research. 

Mr. Răzvan Munteanu is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
