
Ștefan Nițulescu

Ștefan Nițulescu serves as Defence Policy Advisor within the Romanian Ministry of National Defence and is specialized in defence policy and capabilities development within the EU. He is responsible for the elaboration and review of various policy papers, strategies and national regulations in the field of security and defence. In addition to his duties within the RO MoND, Ștefan is involved in academic activities as Teaching Assistant within the National Defence University “Carol I” of Bucharest for EU-related courses.
Prior to joining the Ministry of National Defence, Ștefan served as international relations expert within the National Institute of Administration and as junior associate within the Forensic & Investigations Department at Deloitte Romania. He is a top class graduate of the National Defence University “Carol I” of Bucharest, having a Bachelor degree in Security & Defence and a Master degree in Crisis Management and Conflict Prevention finalized with highest honours in 2017 and 2019. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Security and Defence Association to the National Defence University “Carol I” and Alumni of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF). Ștefan is married, has a daughter and resides in Bucharest. He enjoys barbecues, countryside travel and spending time with his family.
