Stella Jemna is country representative at the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, a $285 million regional fund and pioneer in Ukraine and Moldova with more than 29 years of successful experience in investing in small and medium-sized companies.

She has 15+ years of experience in project management across media, non-profit, and government sectors. As Chief of Staff in the Prime Minister’s Office of the Government of Moldova, she drove strategic priorities, provided advice, and oversaw organizational processes. At the National Democratic Institute, Stella directed projects for Women in Politics, training 600 participants, and implementing over 20 local community projects. Stella’s expertise in policy implementation, government relations, and stakeholder coordination has led to successful project delivery. In parallel with her career in project management, Stella was a journalist, producer, and anchor of a TV show at the Public Broadcasting Company Teleradio-Moldova, where she also produced documentaries, and worked as a journalist for over 5 years in the News department. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Georgia State University as a Fulbright Scholar and received the Cultural Vistas Distinguished Alumni Leadership Award in 2022.

Starting spring 2023, Stella Jemna is supporting Aspen Institute Romania’s efforts to develop its activity in the Republic of Moldova. In close cooperation with the executive team in Bucharest, Stella manages the activity in the Republic of Moldova.
