Szelim Simándi is currently the Public Affairs and Communications Director of Aeffect Communications and Consulting, a Budapest-based strategic consultancy firm. Previously he gained experience in social movements, local and national politics, in a London based advocacy firm and the European Parliament, and also worked on the advocacy strategy of Hungarian industrial parks. As a Communications Specialist he worked with several for-profits and NGOs in developing and delivering their communications strategies, and provided dozens of communications trainings for their leaders both independently and as a trainer of the ERSTE NGO Academy. Mr. Simándi is a member of the Financial and Audit Committee of the Municipality of Budaörs since 2010 and a Fellow of the US Department of State’s Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) since 2017.
