Taras Shevchenko is a Ukrainian media and information-security policy expert and former Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy (2020-2024). He coordinated the Ministry’s work on the national Information Security Strategy—approved by the Government on 15 September 2021. He managed the establishment of the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security, presented on 31 March 2021 under the Ministry.

Taras Shevchenko is the Development Director at the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM), which he co-founded, focusing on media policy and digital resilience. A co-founder and former co-chair of the Reanimation Package of Reforms coalition, he is also a 2017 Yale World Fellow.
