With an extensive background in diplomacy, security studies and international relations, Tudor Oancea is a young professional currently working within the Parliament of Romania, at the Foreign Policy Committee in the Romanian Senate.

With almost 10 years of activity at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the foreign service, he was involved in managing the diplomatic issues and challenges related to Romania’s rotating Presidency of the EU Council at the Embassy of Romania in Luxembourg, one of the three institutional pillars of the European Union.

Tudor Oancea served as the Political and economic adviser of the ambassador at the Embassy of Romania in Senegal. Based in Dakar, it is the most important diplomatic mission of Romania in West Africa, with a total coverage of 8 countries: Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea-Conakry, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina-Faso and Cabo Verde.

In 2023, Mr. Oancea was the diplomatic representative appointed with the preparation of the Official Visit of the President of Romania and the First Lady in the Republic of Senegal and in the Republic of Cabo Verde.

He has earned his BA degree from the Faculty of Law within the University of Bucharest, with a final thesis focused on the European Union decision making process, followed by a 2-year National Security Intelligence Master’s Degree at the National Intelligence Academy of the Romanian Intelligence Service.

Moreover, Tudor has successfully graduated the National Defense College of the Romanian Ministry of National Defense (Bucharest, Romania) the National College of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Bucharest, Romania), the European Security and Defense College (Brussels, Belgium), the American George C. Marshall Center for Security Studies (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany) and others, revealing his already professionally and academically impressive background.
