Tudor Toncea is a senior counsellor at the Ministry of Energy, since 2016. In this position he deals mainly with energy policy, particularly in the renewable energy sector, in Romania and in the European Union. The main activities are analysis and drafting of Romanian legislation in the renewable energy sector, elaboration of state aid schemes for renewable energy, elaboration of studies, providing input for the elaboration of the Romanian energy strategy and medium long term plans and dealing with other Romanian institutions, the European Commission and international energy related institutions. Previously, Tudor worked in the private sector in the aerospace sector in Research and Development, business development and managing of manufacturing programs. He graduated in aerospace engineering in Bucharest, Romania and has a Master of Business and Administration degree from Esade Business School Barcelona, Spain.

Tudor is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
