On June 10 – 12, Aspen Institute Romania organized in Chișinău the first edition of the ASPEN SOCRATES SEMINAR MOLDOVA, developed in partnership with the Aspen Institute Socrates Program.

Moderated by Alex T. Johnson, former diplomat and Radu Puchiu, Aspen Technology & Society Program Director, the Seminar challenged around 25 participants to explore relevant questions under the broad theme of “Supporting Moldova Increase its Societal and Democratic Resilience”.

On the second day of the Seminar, we received the visit of Ms. Michaela Guerard Šimák, Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the Republic of Moldova, who engaged in a lively conversation with the participants on the topic of ”Redefining Resilience in a Changing World”.

The participants to the Seminar were key stakeholders in the Republic of Moldova, including public decision makers and private sector leaders, alongside relevant representatives of the civil society and academia.

The Seminar was organized in cooperation with the NATO Liaison Office in the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the Foreign Policy Association of the Republic of Moldova and powered by the Aspen Institute Romania Chișinău Office.
