Module 3 of the 14th edition of Aspen Young Leaders Program (2020-21), the flagship leadership program of the Aspen Institute Romania, took place between September 21 and 26, 2021, in Mahmudia, Tulcea County.
Whereas Modules 1 and 2 of the Young Leaders Program explore the good society and our inner journeys, clarifying the values by which we live and lead, Module 3 moves explicitly from thought to action.

The participants begin to apply learning from the previous modules and to find ways to get a broader understanding of the societal problems, their roles as young leaders and how they could bring a positive impact.

During Module 3, the participants were part of Socratic debates on specific topics, moderated by members of the group, they attended a hands-on exercise in the community of Mahmudia and were also part of sessions meant to help them define their prototype community service projects ideas and bring them closer to the implementation stage.

After their online Module 1 in September 2020 and the offline Module 2 in July 2021, the participants were excited to meet in person for the second time within the program.

Our gratitude goes to everyone who contributed to the design and implementation of this module: moderator Mădălina Mocan (Aspen Fellow); facilitator Mihaela Mohorea & PACT Foundation (community exercise) and Aspen Fellow Mădălina Neagu, facilitator of the community service projects sessions.

Of course, nothing would have been possible without the trust and openness of the wonderful group of young leaders.
