The first module of the Aspen Young Leaders Program will be this year organized online between August 31 and September 4.

Slightly adapted in structure and content in order to be delivered online, the module follows the lines of the classic Aspen Seminar, based on our proven method of text-based dialogue, used for almost 70 years around the world.

During the 5 days of the module, the participants will discuss the concepts of political and economic thinking that have shaped modern open societies.

The texts and the discussions that will emerge, moderated by Mădălina Mocan (Aspen fellow, Associate Teaching Assistant at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and co-moderated by Andrei Pogonaru (Aspen fellow, Founding Partner, Central European Financial Services (CEFS)) will contribute to enhancing the ability of the participants to analyze and tackle increasingly complex and global situations. In the process, the relevance of these ideas for modern, sustainable, values-based leadership of organizations will also be discussed.

During the online Module 1, the participants will also be involved in a challenging team exercise and at the end of the module they will be invited to follow the Aspen tradition of performing Sophocles’ “Antigone”, great fun activities which will test their creativity, but will also engage the participants in a most serious endeavor, tackling the very depth of society’s mechanisms.
