Since 2014 – MP of Ukrainian Parliament. Alona Shkrum is a Cambridge University graduate (LL.M. in International Law). She has a Master in law from University Pantheon-Sorbonne Paris 1 in France and in the Institute of international relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Works in the Parliamentarian Committee on taxation, banking and finance. Also continues work from a previous convocation, where she held a position of the head of the subcommittee on civil service and service in local self-government bodies. Her focus: international relations, inter parliamentary diplomacy, public administration reform and support for local small and medium businesses. Alona is the President of Inter-parliamentary friendship group with France and a Secretary of Inter-parliamentary friendship group with Great Britain. Alona is also a member of the Bureau of Committee on peace and security of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Before been elected as an MP, Alona worked with IDPs as an advocacy expert of implementing partner of UNHCR and as a lawyer in Ukraine, France and Great Britain as a Pegasus Scholar in the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Alona was awarded «Top 30 under 30» in 2016 by the Kyiv Post as one of the young leaders of Ukraine. In 2017 and 2020 she was at list of top-100 most successful Ukrainian women.
