As of November 15, 2023, Marcelo Pascual Morales assumed responsibilities as Managing Director for MSD Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Marcelo’s 15 years of work at MSD has spanned several responsibilities both in leadership positions held in national subsidiaries in Spain, Switzerland and the USA, and as a member of the global coordination team.

His notable professional achievements include the development of strategic alliances with biotechnology companies that have significantly contributed to the development of MSD’s operations in therapeutic areas of unmet medical needs.

Prior to taking up this position, Marcelo served as the Managing Director of MSD Slovakia. During his tenure in Slovakia, Marcelo was actively involved in the oncology strategic alliance known as Onco-alliance. This alliance focused on supporting the implementation of EU-funded projects worth more than €8 million. These projects specifically aimed at enhancing infrastructure and digitalization in the field of oncology, particularly targeting colon cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer.

Marcelo holds a degree from both the Universities of Oviedo and Maastricht, where he specialized in business management. Additionally, he has completed executive education programs such as the Executive MBA courses provided by the Malaga Chamber of Commerce and the Business Leadership program offered by Duke University.
