Onorina Soric is a program and venture leader with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of democratic resilience, economic development, and entrepreneurship in complex and fragile environments. She has a proven track record of designing and leading high-impact initiatives that advance policy reform, strengthen institutions, and expand inclusive economic opportunity in Moldova.
She currently serves as Lead Venture Developer for Moldova at the Peace Dividend Initiative (PDI), where she leads innovative programs that support early-stage entrepreneurs and connect local startups from fragile contexts with trusted international investors, while fostering economic dialogue and cooperation in Gagauzia and beyond. In parallel, she contributes part-time to GLOBSEC, a Slovakia-based think tank, where she leads projects focused on resilience-building and regional stability.
Previously, Onorina has held senior program roles with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), the Council of Europe, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Moldova, and in collaboration with the Moldovan government. Across these roles, she has shaped and delivered initiatives that strengthened public–private dialogue, supported governance and regulatory reforms, and enabled sustainable private-sector–led growth.
Onorina holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, alongside internationally recognized certifications in project management and organizational change. An alumna of the Socrates Leadership Seminar and the Executive Leadership Seminar of the Aspen Institute Romania, she is driven by a commitment to building resilient economies, empowering entrepreneurs in complex regional contexts, and fostering long-term impact through collaborative leadership, trust-building, and social cohesion.
