Ovidia Simona Caba graduated from the Faculty of European Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. She has been working for the Regional Development Agency Center since 2001, and since 2015, she has been coordinating the Department for Regional Policies. As an expert in regional development and planning, she has participated in and coordinated the development of the Regional Development Plan, the Regional Action Plan for Education, the Smart Specialization Strategy, and the partnering process.

Since 2007, she has also coordinated the office responsible for regional cooperation and project development, as well as activities aimed at supporting business cooperation. She has been involved in designing and implementing more than 30 interregional cooperation projects, including those focused on research and innovation, human resources development, and support for the business environment, all financed by European programs.

Since 2020, she has been part of the team designing the Regional Operational Plan 2021 and the programming documents that will govern the European funds allocated to the Centru Region for the period 2021-2027.
