
Sorin – Dan Moldovan

Mr. Sorin-Dan Moldovan has been a member of the Romanian Parliament for Cluj County since 2016. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Committee for Defense, Public Order, and National Security in the Chamber of Deputies and is actively involved in parliamentary diplomacy, particularly in strengthening the U.S.-Romania Strategic Partnership. Since 2020, he has also been a member of the Romanian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Additionally, he serves on the joint Senate-Chamber committee for national security and the IT&C Committee. In July 2023, he completed the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on U.S.–European Security Challenges at the U.S. Department of State, and in November 2022, he attended the Generals, Flag Officers, and Ambassadors Course (GFOAC) at the NATO Defense College in Rome.
He holds a degree from the School of European Economic Integration Studies at the Romanian-American University and a Master’s in International Relations from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies. His education also includes studies at the National Defense College (Carol I National Defense University) and the Romanian Diplomatic Institute.
Mr. Moldovan began his public sector career in 2009 as an advisor in the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ International Relations Department. He later became Director of International Relations and, in 2010, was appointed Vice President of the National Authority for Sports and Youth by the Prime Minister.
