The aim of this nonpartisan effort is to identify concrete ways to address the challenges the Romanian workforce and society will face considering the Industry 4.0 revolution, by creating a platform and a community of public and private decision-makers, researchers and academics, interested in preparing the proper answers to the dramatic disruptions of the years ahead.
The initiative was launched on 23 May 2017 at “Constantin Brancoveanu” University in Pitesti. Discussions emphasized the need for a joint effort to foster innovation in education. A key accomplishment of the initiative was signing a MoU with the Ministry of Education in view of cooperating on the introduction of STEM education in the Romanian curriculum, thus paving the way for further activities in 2018.
The program community includes multiple local stakeholders from the public, and private sector, as well as civil society and academia.
