Junior Leaders Program este un program de leadership pe bază de burse dedicat tinerilor din Republica Moldova, lansat în anul 2023. Primul modul al seminarului Aspen se desfășoară pe parcursul a patru zile și este bazat pe metoda Aspen de dialog pe texte, dezvoltată de peste 75 de ani.

Scopul Junior Leaders Program este să motiveze, să inspire și să contribuie la perfecționarea viitorilor lideri din Republica Moldova, contribuind la dezvoltarea abilităților lor de a deveni promotori ai schimbării pozitive în societate. De asemenea, programul are în vedere, promovarea și dezvoltarea leadershipului în societate în rândul tinerilor activi în mediul academic, în activități de voluntariat și care au un potențial demonstrat de leadership, în conformitate cu valorile etice pe care se bazează Institutul Aspen.

În fiecare an, Junior Leaders Program adună aproximativ 20 de studenți și tineri profesioniști cu vârste între 18 și 25 de ani. Selecția candidaților se face pe baza CV-ului, a unei scrisori de recomandare și a unui scurt eseu. Participanții aleși beneficiază de o bursă care acoperă costurile de cazare la locația seminarului, mesele, materialele de lectură, moderarea și managementul programului.

Discuțiile din cadrul seminarului sunt facilitate de moderatori cu experiență. Dialogul se bazează pe texte și urmează tradiția Aspen, iar participanții discută în mod socratic o serie de lecturi din lucrările unor mari gânditori, atât din trecut, cât și din prezent, precum: Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Fareed Zakaria, Nelson Mandela, George Orwell, Aristotel, Andrei Pleșu, Václav Havel sau Platon.

Astfel, seminarul oferă un cadru de dialog și interacțiune obiectivă, unde participanții pot dezbate și analiza valori fundamentale. La finalul seminarului, aceștia vor avea o înțelegere mai profundă a conceptului de leadership bazat pe valori, precum și o mai mare claritate asupra propriei persoane și a valorilor lor.

Primele două ediții ale programului au fost organizate în parteneriat cu International Republican Institute (IRI) Moldova și au fost structurate în două module, primul modul fiind constituit din seminarul Aspen.

Junior Leaders Program is a scholarship-based leadership program dedicated to young people from the Republic of Moldova, launched in 2023. The first module of the Aspen Seminar takes place over four days and is based on the Aspen dialogue method, which has been developed over more than 75 years.

The goal of the Junior Leaders Program is to motivate, inspire, and contribute to the development of future leaders in the Republic of Moldova by enhancing their ability to become advocates for positive change in society. Additionally, the program aims to promote and develop leadership among young people active in academia, volunteer work, and those who have demonstrated leadership potential, in line with the ethical values upheld by the Aspen Institute.

Each year, the Junior Leaders Program brings together approximately 20 students and young professionals aged 18 to 25. Candidate selection is based on their CV, a letter of recommendation, and a short essay. Selected participants receive a scholarship covering accommodation at the seminar location, meals, reading materials, moderation, and program management.

The seminar discussions are facilitated by experienced moderators. The dialogue is text-based and follows the Aspen tradition, with participants engaging in Socratic discussions on readings from great thinkers of both the past and present, such as Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Fareed Zakaria, Nelson Mandela, George Orwell, Aristotle, Andrei Pleșu, Václav Havel, and Plato.

Thus, the seminar provides a framework for objective dialogue and interaction, where participants can debate and analyze fundamental values. By the end of the seminar, they will have a deeper understanding of value-based leadership and greater clarity about themselves and their values.

The first two editions of the program were organized in partnership with the International Republican Institute (IRI) Moldova and were structured into two modules, with the first module consisting of the Aspen seminar.
