About the Event

Aspen Institute Romania participated as a partner in the Moldova Security Forum 2024 and co-hosted the panel session Countering Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) and Strengthening Societal Resilience, held on November 20 in Chișinău. Organized by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Office in Moldova and the NATO Liaison Office in Chișinău, the Forum convened over 100 participants from 15 countries to address regional and national security priorities.

The panel co-hosted by Aspen Institute Romania focused on strategies to counter FIMI and enhance democratic resilience through public awareness, digital literacy, and cross-sector cooperation. Moderated by Radu Puchiu, Technology & Society Program Director at Aspen Institute Romania, the session featured high-level speakers from NATO, the European Parliament, Moldova, Ukraine, and the academic community.
